Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? board game comes with a game board, 6 mover pieces (each a different color, representing each player), 112 cards that each have a different question on them (separated into 4 categories: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Grammar), an answerboard that has 4 windows for the players to mark their answers in and the money chips (for tracking how much money the players have earned). The objective of the game is for the players to try and answer 30 questions correctly within 4 minutes to win.
In order to begin playing, each player must choose one mover piece from the box, which will be used to traverse around the board. The first step is to separate all of the questions into easy, medium and hard categories ” easy being worth 300 dollars, medium being worth 500 dollars, and hard being worth 700 dollars. After organizing the questions accordingly, it’s time to start playing! All of the players roll a die to see who goes first. Then they start moving around the board according to their die roll. Once they land on a topic card square they can take a card of that topic as long as they can still remember one thing from their school years! As soon as they read out-loud their selected question category and answer correctly then they get put into an appropriate window of their Answerboard. They will then collect money chips based on what level difficulty question they’ve managed to solve correctly. When all of 30 questions have been answered correctly within four minutes then that particular player wins the game!

Next, have each player or team select a character pawn and matching scoreboard marker. Place the selected pawns on the start square of their desired color track and place markers on the score tracker at zero points. Finally, separate the cards into grade level piles (1st-5th) and draw one card from each pile for a total of five cards for that round. Read each question aloud as players indicate their answers. When all players are finished, calculate scores and advance characters accordingly before starting a new round of five questions. The first player or team to reach the finish line wins the game!
